Same Symphony was inspired to me by GOD. This parable is about the harsh reality of gun violence. The shooting have become the melody of our inner city. Same Symphony explains the outcome that gang life and street activity leads to the same jail cell or funeral. The melody of crying mothers can be heard on every corner in stereo in a high pitch treble. Sadness and despair plagues the community, our youth is seduced by radio, TV, social media, video games and movies combined with peer-pressure.
“I am” was inspired to me by GOD. This parable is about self confidence, self esteem and a bit of narcissism. “I am” is strictly referring to me as I self evaluate who I am, and who I have become. My perspective of what I am is being illustrated, by self assurance. This parable ignites ideas of self worth.
American Massacre was inspired to me by GOD. It’s my perception, of America and the truth behind its liberties and freedom. I began this parable talking to lady liberty as if she was a person. While trying to convince her that her democracy is an American Massacre. Politics, economics, Religion, cover-ups and government scandals, all poetically unified precisely, to open your mind by concepts. . American Massacre purpose is to inform you, while inspiring you to become more active in your communities. America Massacre is nothing short of the truth.
Mark for Death was inspired to me by GOD. This parable is about my life experiences of being black. The very melanin in my skin; that gives me strength, and protects me from the sun rays is criminalized. My dark skin is looked at, as if it was a weapon. Mark for Death explains in many different scenarios and out comes what it’s like being black in America.
Reflection was inspired to me by GOD. This pertains to self-reflection, and a need for self-examination. It’s the riddles of life questions that we ask ourselves. What am I? What have I become? Who are you when no one is around you? Where am I going in life? Reflection inspires you to, stare at yourself in the mirror and accept who you are. In doing so the individual can gain confidence and feel a sense of transcendence. What you are, is what you reflect, and people perceive you as that. Correction within one’s self is the goal, to have balance between the body and soul by reflecting.
The Day they killed Hip-Hop was inspired to me by GOD. This parable is my expression of the golden years of Hip-Hop. The 90’s spoiled Hip-Hop fans with enormous variety, of dynamic artist from across the country. A time of creativity, originality, substance and a code we all lived by. Hip-Hop is black culture, in which we share with the world. Today Hip-Hop has been twisted into inspiring violence amongst the people that created it. This Parable tells a story of some of Hip-Hop history; while using Hip-Hop in different abstract ways.
Passion Queen was inspired to me by GOD. This parable was written to encourage woman. Passion Queen set a blaze of fire to inspire all woman of every nationality; to embrace there beauty. Passion Queen reminds women of their contribution to what it means to be a lady. Society subjectify woman as sex symbols; My Passion Queens I want to refresh your memory, so you feel like a Queen of elegance.
Immortals vs Humanity was inspired to me by GOD. Immortal against Humanity (IAH) is strictly religious, and refers primarily to the bible. In this poem, I am poetically preaching through bibles versus right out of the great book. IAH is a cocktail of faith and myth infused together with a logical twist.
